My name is Mersea Ruane, I'm 60+ , married, and I have two sons. My husband and I fostered 50 + dogs over the years for a local dog rescue and we are owned by what we call cats but they preferred to be called Masters of the Universe!
I've been into art and writing since a Youth but really got back to it in 1999. I did my art as a hobby for a few years then began printing cards and selling them in local stores and online. My favorite subjects for art are fantasy art (faeries, mermaids, elves...), angels, nature, sisterhood, nature based, special occasions, seasonal, Christian based, and life experiences. I do have a Cancer Series of pictures that I created after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2010 and having surgery and going through chemo and radiation.I was asked and I completed painting the Norfolk Mermaid Statue that once resided outside the Ocean View Station Museum in Norfolk , but someone destroyed it trying to steal it. (It has since been renovated and repainted.) My style is what I call illustrative, nostalgic and on the fantasy side. I also have started acrylic painting and mixed media and have begun painting during Worship at David's Tent 757,
