I've returned to my original artistic interest in textile arts, deconstructing and reconstructing my work to form new elements. The processes involved in the creation of my work include painting, piecing, applique, collage, quilting and embellishing. The fabric adds a tactile dimension that begs to be touched.
My previous incarnations have included teaching English to junior high aged children (which some have related will assure me a place in heaven!), as well as teaching Web Design and Computer Media Applications to high school students.
Currently I am the lead teacher in an Illinois public school program for three to five year old children with developmental delays. They bring joy and laughter into my life daily.
