I have my husband to thank for the last nine years of challenge and delight I have experienced as a watercolorist. It was at his prompting that I attended an art show where I became inspired to begin in watercolors too.

Since 1996, my work has evolved and improved, as my love of watercolor as a creative outlet continues to deepen. There are not enough hours in the day, week, month, etc. to paint all of the things I would like to attempt or employ all of the techniques I would like to try, but that is what makes watercolor exciting for me. I love activities where there is always room for more growth, a higher level of achievement, a deeper level of communication. I continue to take instruction from a well-known and wonderful professional artist who both inspires me and cheers me on.

Painting has caused me to see the world with new and different eyes. I am much more appreciative of the subtle beauties in nature, so that every hour of my life, whether I have paintbrush in hand or not, has been impacted. We also purchased a good digital camera so that I could photograph my own paintings and record images of things I wished to paint in the future. Because of that, photography has also become another creative outlet.
