I hadn't planned on doing a blog/journal on here, but the week of July 26th was a difficult one for me and my family. On a day that was my nephew's birthday, we found out that his dad died unexpectedly. Although he was a brother-in-law, I still considered him as a brother. Not only has the family taken this loss hard but they have to deal with the finances, too, as he was only 55 ( a year younger than I). During that week I didn't take many pictures or work on any drawings. However, I did get a few pictures of a sunset a few days after his funeral and yesterday I was able to return to an annual event of racing at the local airstrip. He never went to one of these, but he was a huge NASCAR fan so it just felt right to go to this event. The sunset pictures I am posting now, and as for the pictures from the racing, I have 110 so over the next few days I will be posting some of my favorites from the event.
