Karen Christine Greaves is originally from Durban, South Africa where she developed her interest in art from her school days and fashion design studies. She has worked as an artist in the UK and Australia and participated in competition art. She was one of 30 finalist selected for the prestigious Doug Moran Portrait Prize in Sydney NSW, out of 750 artists. "My work is inspired by mythology,the old world and works of the masters, classical and romantic art, surrealism, ethnic cultures, religion, African art and the human condition.
