My name is Nedda Shishegar, I am 21 years old, I live in Southern California and am currently going to college. I have been drawing since a young age, but only recently have I started attending art classes to further develop my art skills. Fantasy has been a subject of interest since childhood, so it is no mystery why I have chosen faeries, mermaids, and other fantasy creatures as a consistent theme in my artwork.
I use a variety of mediums such as watercolors, graphite pencils, inks, markers, pastels and acrylic paints. I enjoy working in watercolors and graphite pencils the best.
I am inspired by all of my surroundings, including family, friends, my cats, Tori Amos and other musical artists, children's books and fairy tales, and of course, nature, which plays the biggest part.
Why do I like do draw fantasy? Because there are no limits, and no right or wrong. It's based on your imagination, and no one can tell you that it doesn't exist.
