Having lived in Kimbe, Papua New Guinea, for over a decade, I am very fortunate to have an endless supply of inspirational material for my tribal and underwater theme paintings.
Painting and drawing has always been my passion and a dream. In my late 20's, my dream became reality thanks to private tuition in mastering the skills of drawing and watercolours. With inner confidence drawn from that training, the creativity door was finally opened, and I was able to express my true feelings on paper.
Working mostly with gouache, my various styles reflect my attitude on how I veiw life. Absorb as much as you can, but remember to take the time to relax and appreicate the things that surround us. it is so easy to become absored in the negative aspects of life and forget how to actually enjoy it. I hope my paintings can be a reminder to take time to reflect on the beauty the world has to offer! Cheers Nathalie
