Artist Bio

Geraldine Simmons (AFC) is an Australian artist who lives and works in the beach side suburb of Collaroy, on Sydneys northern beaches, with her husband and two children. The majestic surroundings and abundant wildlife resonate with her deep respect and passion for the natural world, and provide inspiration for her work.

Geraldine has been involved in a selection of exhibitions both in Sydney and the USA, including New York City, as well as gaining signature membership to the Artists For Conservation– host to internationally prominent wildlife artists.

Alongside her artwork, Geraldine exercises a kindred passion: supporting animal conservation through her work with the FNPF in Indonesia, where they focus on preserving Orangutans and their habitat. In May 2010 she won the AFC conservation artist award for artistic excellence and extraordinary dedication to conservation. www.natureartists.com/geraldine_simmons.asp
