Tennessee artist specializing in portraiture. Mediums are oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and watercolor, working mostly in the academic tradition. Subjects are varied but rendering largely to scenes, florals and wildlife found in my area. However my creativity needs expansion at times and I venture into other areas. For years I worked as a professional photographer. This medium enabled me to be a better portrait artist. I am a teacher of art, exhibiting internationally and judging art competions.

My own awards are numerous including the Winsor & Newton in 2006 and in 2009 the Jack Richeson. I belong to several prestigeous are societies including the Degas Pastel Society of New Orleans.

I have painted most of my life and just can't imagine not being an artist.
