Painter, Anne Leuck Feldhaus works full-time as a professional artist in Chicago. Her Bold High-contrast Paintings are described as a mix of contemporary FoLk & Urban Pop Art. She Went to Art School but is self-taught in painting which accounts for the simple, whimsical quality of her work.
"My images are reflections of my everyday life, surroundings and dreams. My pets, Oliver, Izzy and Alice bring much inspiration. Also often included in my compositions are cityscapes, roads capes, flying people and the occasional still life. Often these are simple, decorative, iconic paintings but on occasion they develop into more narrative compositions. I work in Acrylics and enjoy painting on both Stretched Canvas, Wood Panels and Wood Doors." Feldhaus sells her vibrant art works via her online art gallery, as well as Galleries in Chicago and the Los Angeles area. Specializing in custom Dog and Pet Portraits, Anne also exhibits nationally at Fine Art Fairs, has illustrated a book, 2 greeting cards and wall art for the home furnishings market. Anne most recently illustrated the Poster Design for Chicago's 2004 Pride Fest; Anne's works hang in private collections in more than 34 U.S. States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom and Italy.
