As a co-star of W Network's Gemini nominated series, Stylin' Gypsies, Andrea Claire Walmsley is bringing a philosophy about beauty and fashion that has guided her throughout her career.

"I love capturing the essence of a personto enhance their own beauty and features," says Walmsley. "My goal is to help real people and models alike feel great about how they look. There's nothing better than people leaving my chair with a new lift in their steps and in their spirits. Stylin' Gypsies aligns with my philosophy, with a focus on hair and makeup that relate to people's everyday lives, and ideas that can be executed at home."

With 15 years of experience as a professional hair and makeup artist, Walmsley is known for her clean, contemporary approach to hair and makeup. A consummate professional, it is her attention to detail, infectious, outgoing, personality and ability to make work fun, that keeps her in demand with clients, which include some of the country's most well-known faces, retailers and magazines.

Walmsley's credits range from television commercials, film, and music videos, to print ads, magazine editorial shoots and serving as beauty editor for Blonde Magazine and marlomagazine.com. Her portfolio includes work with Alanis Morissette, Scott Thompson, Natalie Imbruglia, Sarah Slean, Daniel Bedingfield, M2M, RUSH, Margaret Atwood, Bob Mackie, Big Sugar, Sarah Polley, Degrassi: The Next Generation for Fashion 18 spring 2006, Kathie Lee Gifford, Nicole Miller, Vince Carter and other personalities. Her work has appeared in FASHION 18, Canadian Living, Sports Illustrated, Hong Kong Marie Claire, FASHION, Chatelaine, Flare, Today's Bride, Salon Magazine, Style, Wedding Bells, Saturday Night Magazine, Beautynet.com, The National Post, Parents, Blonde Magazine and other publications, as well as on Fashion Television, and the 25th Toronto Film Festival shorts with Atom Egoyan and Patricia Rozema. Walmsley's on-air experience continues to grow. The summer of 2004, Walmsley worked on Canada's highest rated program in the history of Canadian Television, Canadian Idol. After Idol, Walmsley moved right into a new make over series, So Chic with Steven and Chris airing on Life Network. Walmsley has also been the focus of speaking events for Toronto Fashion Week and L'Oreal Paris hair seminars, Models' Alliance, The National Women's show and a repeat guest on Canada AM. She served as a judge for the 14th, 15th and 16th annual Contessa awards and a makeup judge for the 2002 and 2003 Gemini Awards.

Walmsley received her training in Toronto, where she worked at some of the most recognized salons.

A native of Waterloo, Ontario, Walmsley now resides in Toronto.
