Top active members

I find that your system calculations for the daily top active members need to be examined. I have been keeping track of my postings, and on numerous occasions, it is in error. When this happens, from what I post of new paintings, comments, responses, art duels, etc your system restricts the fair count. As of yesterday, I posted 5 new paintings, I made 7 comments, and over 100 art duel votes. From my posted paintings, this does not include the various artist groups in which these paintings were posted in. For all this, which my summary said I should have received well over 600 points, your system awarded my account 291 points. Could you please explain this vast difference to me ? I might add, this is not the first time this has occurred.

Please update how you accumulate points for Top Active members. Your latest statement of point count is not work property. I posted 5 new painting, responded to 4 comments, added 3 new artist to follow and did 80 art duels.....you awarded 259 points. Your system is not working.

I have now found that your "top active member" section is rigged for one and only one member to stay on top.

Should anyone wish to know what's going on, please privately email me. I warn you to keep track of the points you are being awarded each day.

My advice is to find another site that treats all members fairly.

The best art site I have found is Fine Art America (.com). There is an annual fee of $50. Post as many as you want; they offer honest and true service. Your account balance is paid monthly on the 15th of each month...no complaining without response from the site, like this one. It is the best site and has many more benefits and buyers to purchase any type of reproductions and surfaces, and you set your own prices for a better return for your work. They print your images in many more ways to make money and treat all members in the same ethical manner. They also have an ongoing art contest every week and entertain other businesses that will pay a royalty to use your artwork for advertising, movie props, etc. They are very active in the best interest of the artist. You will also get a second website (Pixels.com) free with the same benefits. You cannot beat $ 50.00 a year for all the benefits offered. Check it out, you won't be disappointed....and you get your earnings very quickly without having to send numerous requests and beg for them to send you your funds.

This site is owned by Art Slam..... Google it.

It's a new month (February)...watch who goes to the top ...same person. No matter what you do, that one and only will always jump over you, and you're left trying to figure out what happened and how he can accumulate so many points in 1 day. And in 6 days with only 3 daily posts (11 new photo's), he is already almost 400 points above the closest 2nd place. Once someone passes him....he will jump over the person with an even bigger lead.

Laura, thank you for your kind comments. As you can see from your own experience, something is definitely wrong with the tabulation of the top active members. When art wanted decides to correct these flaws, I may consider posting my additional paintings. Until then, I will not post anything more with AW, I have stopped my premium membership as well. This is not a "fair" site. How anyone can get 800 or 900 points in one day, after they have already posted the first maximum 10 or 11 paintings or photos, is just not possible. I have kept track of the daily February activity. Should anyone wish to see the results, send me a message, and I will send you a copy. The average norm points for all others is 60 to 200 points daily. Again, AW needs to correct their point system for fair accounting; if there is a flaw, fix it. As of now, there is only one person who will be the top active member. Watch and learn.

Mark. It could be that many here wish to stay silent. I am one for ethical business practices, including fairness for all its members. If you start various programs to encourage artists to be active, then it should be backed with fairness and oversight of management. Art Wanted was one of the first sites I started posting my art in 2010, but I found many sites that welcomed artists with fairness in their programs and business practices. They offer free personal websites and fair and honest art contests almost daily. Since I returned and started posting more of my art and reading how members' orders are not fulfilled over months and months, and not paid for their sales in a timely manner, I became more discouraged from their plight. Then to see so many being active with their postings daily, only to be overridden by allowing certain members to take advantage somehow, posting 800 or 900 or more points in one day, it's beyond acceptable to me. I have kept an active daily count during February, and many members are more worthy than the person on February 28. Those who have shown their daily activities are numerous and should have ranked much higher. But again, AW has allowed this to happen in their flawed system that allows a very few that are not active daily, but only when they see they're not on top, come in and somehow generate 800 or 900 points in one day. In the 3 months I have been back, Its happened every month, the same way, the same person. Mark, I wish you the best in your art and career, thank you for your response.

March, another month, watch who goes to the top and stays there. no matter what you do, he will put large (500 + ponts) and reach the top. Same person month after month. Sorry to the people who post new paintings or photos every day and participate in many other events for points, who are worthy of being the most active. Apparently, AW will continue to let this happen.
