I came to photgraphy via an art-based background having studied printmaking, fine art and graphic design, as well as art history. Further studies in film and editing also influence my work.

Eventually, I specialised in dance imagery more and more, producing work to sell in galleries and in exhibitions.

Initially, brought up using traditional chemical photography and darkroom techniques I began to combine these with digital tools.

I stepped away from photography for a while. In hindsight, I think I was unsure of the potential that full digital photography offered and it took me a time to adapt.

In some ways photography has become a print-making skill rather than a purely photographic discipline.

Returning to photography, I have concentrated on abstract nature imagery.
