In the 80's, it was a special honor to be selected to join a team of artists commissioned to produce a Collection of Books for children. Paul Bunyan, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Brer Rabbit and Casey at the Bat were a few of these titles. These are licensed characters and stories (Disney). My part was to airbrush the backgrounds for each story. It had to be completed in record time to meet a publishing deadline...but was very rewarding work on many levels. The Disney Corporation are fine people to work with. These are two of the covers. I cannot show all the inside illustrations since it would require so much time to scan and post each image, but these should give my clients an idea of what was involved to prepare the final art for reproduction. Yes, we all met the deadline. These images are Copyright the Disney Corporation. I would highly recommend that you do not attempt to upload these for personal gain. Their lawyers will eat you alive.

That's funny...brought back a memory i hadn't thought of in years. Way back when, I went for an interview at Disney, they offered me the job of doing backgrounds for the 'Hunchback of Notredame' I ended up going with video games instead, but it's funny to think what if... ... you never know, we might have met :)
