We depend on our computers and cell phones for communication and information. We depend on airlines and automobiles for transportation. We depend on electric lights to light our homes and our city streets. Electricity and computers are key to all of this. This was not always the case. Innovators of the past moved us forward without knowledge of this technology. This colored pencil painting is based on a photograph that I took at a railroad museum and clearly reminds us of this fact and of the past. The piece is entitled "Light the Way". It is done on museum quality Grafix drafting film using Farber-Castell Polychromos and KOH-I-NOOR pencils. The size of the artwork is 11 X 14 inches.
