This is a pencil, and color pencil drawing of the woman who was the last of Hawaiian royalty. Her reign was from Jan. 29, 1891-Jan. 17, 1893. She was dethroned, primarily, because America wanted Hawaii for its own, and it did eventually become a state in the USA. Here, also is the Hawaiian state flower (yellow Hibiscus), flowers called Birds of Paradise, the ocean, volcano in the background, lava shoreline, smooth lava pebblestones, and sugarcane.
