Alexandria, Louisiana (2006)

This is an imaginative cityscape of Alexandria, Louisiana with some of its prominent architectural monuments. This painting was donated to River Oaks Art Center who gave it to the outgoing Mayor of Alexandria, Ned Randolph. Many people at the ceremony, attended by over 400 people including elected officials, commented on the beauty of the work. It is 4 x 6 feet, something not clear from the photo.

I think the public agencies will be battling over the privilege to display this work. It is joyful, upbeat and inclusive. Let me know where this painting ends up so I can go see it on my next visit to Louisiana.
