Stream Detail

While trekking around the Patagonia area of Chile and Argentina, I was usually looking to the mountains for photography. However, I spent a few hours each day moving from one camp to another and along the way I passed many intimate scenes of natural beauty. Sometimes I would have to stop, unpack my camera gear, and take a half hour or so to capture as many of my impressions as I could. This shot is from Torres del Paine in Chile. Minolta 801si alpha, 80mm lens, Fujichrome Provia 100. No filter, no colour manipulation. Copyright Peter Skov.

I don't remember seeing this before but it makes me want to reach out and touch everything! Delightful!

Artist Reply: Yes, I love the detail and the contrast between the soft moss and the hard rock.

Truly spectacular with the reflecting waters...

Artist Reply: There's not much water in the photo but it does add a nice touch with shape, feeling and colour. Thanks for the comment.
