Changing out monitors on various systems: I am finding discrepancies in brightness, color tone and contrasts which are drastic. Finding that calibrations for paintings represented on each monitor depends on the age and manufacturer of the monitor -- So the color tones of my pictures on YOUR system may NOT be accurate. - I suppose this may mean that my colors might not be as 'screwy' as they look on your computer - Heh, Heh - what a cop-out.
Am going to radically revamp my approach to working out-of-doors. No longer satisfied with my results & I have noticed that these results haven't significantly changed in twenty years. So....
From yesterday - 5-31-2014, Plein-Air painting at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center in Coockeysville MD. The picture:
Placing a number of Rooftop snow pictures. Watercolors first with larger oil paintings to follow. These all from a photographic exploration of an old church deep in Baltimore's 'Pigtown' area. Oils are being particularly slow to dry right now; 'grumpy'. & I now believe that I am allergic to Copal(s) both the crystal form and the varnish.
Due to the precepts of this website all of the 'Harmonious' images have been deleted by the managers.
Since Late October; I have been drawing only. (I may have a developed an allergy to oil paint (!)). Where the images derive I am not sharing. All are working titled - "Harmonious". I am now starting to load these...
Beginning to load a final series for 2013. - without fear of reprisals - and they may be censored on this website...
