Sub Categories and limit to uploads to portfolios

I am new to the site, and I really enjoy this site, however, I think that the determination process for the limit of images to upload for a new member or a free member should be adjusted, as well as the inability to make sub categories unless you become a premium member. The reason I think this, as I said I am a new member, but I was very active in my first month, I was include in the high activity area. Why can't there be an incentive for new members who hit the site running to receive, say an additional 10 or 20 uploads added as a free member, if there activity continues to be consistently high and if they do this for 2 or 3 months consecutive, award ability to add sub-categories. I think this would motivate more artist to eventually upgrade to a premium member status
