Even though he grabbed this one from FreeFoto...the terms of use strictly prohibit claiming any of the work from the site as your own, selling it, and/or not giving credit from where the photograph was downloaded from. You also cannot use it in your own promotional gallery.

My interests in photography have extended to many areas including natural world, sun sea and sand. Occasionally, I will supplement my collection by purchasing photographic material and slides. Last year I purchased a CD on Ebay with flowers as one of the topics. It said the material was completely copyright free and could be used for any commercial purposes .

Apparently it is not. I have removed the slide. I am writing to the original photographer to apologize.

I personally believe you and think this richard murch should be banned from this site IMMEDIATELY. Discipline is definitely neccessary in this case. Like Pete said, i think his other images are probably stolen as well. Why keep someone of this caliber on this site..funny thing is this guy posted a thread about coptright infringement and fraud a while back!! LOL

We have removed the flower and train images from Richards portfolio and given him 24 hours to remove any other images from his portfolio that he did not take with his own camera.

After this, if any of his images are seen to be taken by someone else, his account will be removed and he will be banned from the site.

For the record. I have not moderated any discussion on this board on copyright. I HAVE moderated a ratings discussion recently.

Before you get into a lynch mode, I suggest you get your facts correct before posting.

OK....the fact is that you did not take some of the shots in your folio with your own camera....you did not create that shot with your own eye. Not only that but you posted work knowing that you didn't create it...posting it here implies that you are the creator of that work. What more is there to know? That's not art sir...that is marketing....go sell your "wares" on ebay...it's just a product to you anyway. This site is for artists...not snake oil salesmen and liars....buh bye now.
