dear staff recently I viewed a picture from what I thought to be a legitimate member of AW, however now I am stuck with a gif immage on the background of all artwanted.com pages.... the image is of a huge street with high buildings done in pen and ink... No matter what I do I cannot get rid of it. It is very annoying and disturbing... I ma using firefox as browser.... it does not seem to appear on internet explorer. Has this happened to others and if so was it reported? HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I am 71 years old and not so computer litterate.... I thank you in advance for your help corry stuart

Original Post: Spamming and HTML in image comments

Due to a few recent problems with certain artwork comments, we have made the following changes to our website today:

1) HTML code is no longer allowed within artwork comments. This means that people can not put website links, color changes or font size changes in the comments that are posted on the site.

2) Website links are no longer permitted within comments. This will stop the random spamming & website ads that we have seen recently on some of your portfolios.

We have gone through all of the image comments and removed website links from past comments on artwork. Due to the time it will take, we will not be able to go through all past comments with HTML and strip it out of the comment. If you have comments in your portfolio with HTML in them that you do not like, you can hide the comment from public view in your comments section of the members area.

These two changes should stop the recent issues we have had with people abusing the image comment system.

Please report to our staff, any image comments that need to be reviewed - Thanks!
