Artist Comments: "I was intrigued by the notion that a common subject could be presented in an uncommon fashion. I began with a sketch that allowed a lot of background. I painted the sand and water as a stylized rainbow. Then I decided to make the gull a rainbow of color as well. Gouache was my choice of media because of its softness and ability to get good detail."

"A Walking Rainbow" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board. Prints on canvas are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed.
