Can't squawk, gotta swim.

This handsome male Green Winged Teal didn't want to stick around for his picture. It's counterpart the Eurasian race known as Common Teal, can be identified by the white bar on the side, on the Green Winged Teal it is vertical on the Common Teal, it is horizontal. The male is highly vocal with a ringing peep, the female has a more nasal quack. Taken at Como Lake, Port Coquitlam, B.C.
