Still Life With Beet Greens

In this more complex still life painting in oil are a small pitcher, radishes and their greens, a brass or copper bowl of some kind, beets and their greens, garlic, a lemon, and a green olive oil bottle on various cloths. Painted alla prima ( in one session ) from the still life in studio using natural light only.

Quite lovely. Nice use of light, and I particularly like the various surfaces. And the lovely, soft beet greens. The greens RULE!

Don't see beets painted very often! Great shapes, very nice colors. You did a very nice job on this painting.

Lovely still. Great composition. My eye is really drawn back to that bluish bottle on the right. I believe it's due to the bolder colors collected on that side as well as the background darkening and framing the bottle.
