La Nina has been soaking California this winter. The recent storms have been pounding the roof for 10 days or more. (I lose track after awhile.) Mud slides make the national news. Meanwhile I hang from the side of a steep canyon in a trailer waiting for the slide that sends us careening down upon the donkey in the field 300 feet below. Max paces behind me, his toenails clicking restlessly. Pinkerton literally climbs the walls. I find myself watching the rain on the window, hypnotized by the drum roll on the roof. I photograph everything from spiders to the rain itself. Boredom is a state of mind that even the storms can't impose upon me.

I love the crisp details in this photo. The rain running down the glass is very soothing. I like how you also captured the crystal in the upper left. Interesting touch!Francisco Capelo 21 Feb 2005
