Rough Going

Greetings Gentle Readers and Avid Artists and Viewers, and Collectors. I have tried to design a crown with Anneke Hut especially in mind as the Royal Princess of ArtWanted for today, August 1, her birthday. (Notice the straps to hold it on her lovely and dainty head no matter how wildly she may dance and carry on today, teaching a thing or two to all the various breeds of breeding faeries and angels who simply cannot keep themselves away from the frolic!). Now, no-one could be more aware than I of the many kind, talented, and attractive painters in our galleries. Hardly could one person of each gender be chosen as Queen and King of all. So, with my foot almost out of my mouth now, thanks to the help of a pallet knife lubricated with cadmium yellow, I want to confess that I have been up most of the night trying to figure out how she gets the lovely music to play with her paintings. You’ll just have to whistle, for a little while, yet. But here’s the link to what I intended to flavor our ears while we feast our eyes, and now you can play it while wandering through the lovely pages of Anneke’s gallery. Well, I’d better quit rambling before you get to thinking I’m an old man. NOTE: I did finally manage the music afterall (with a little help from my friend, but of course not so neatly and professionally done! Here’s that link, anyway, in case you want to have it available where ever you go. http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=Nrd8CGvRBJI Happy Birthday Anneke, and thank you so much for so much nourishing all of us, and who would be surprised if perhaps someday it’s the whole world! For I’m sure that many of you will agree, as a character of Shakespeare’s soliloquizes “that if music be the food of love,” even so I believe all arts nourish the universe, in the process of their creation as well as by the attention given to them, the “feasting of eyes” on those visible arts entering our hearts and minds by way of our eyes (You know that I absolutely can not avoid such silliness!). And so we all share the birthday joy of Anneke’s special day. We’ll each have ours, and in our turn may each of us find our joy, and peace, and love, growing to new realms. So thank you again, Anneke, for all the example you live before us, giving, not only your art as an example to follow, but also your selfless kindness, brightening our world with so much guiding light. Thank you. Peace, etc., Bruce

:))) How did you know that I LOVE Tinker Bell?:)) What a lovely sweet surprise this is, my dear friend! And what a beautiful painting with these wonderful golden colours and great textures, so typical your unique style! Your contributions to AW are always a treat for the eye, dear Bruce, as you know I'm your biggest fan. Your words are just as beautiful, all this honour makes me blush, but very happy too. Thank you so much for this very special Birthday gift! You just made my day! :D

Artist Reply: Anyone can see that you love Tinker bell by the way you obviously study to imitate her movements, postures, hair, her voice and unique style, and, of course, her clothes! Thank you for your words of appreciation, BUT it is YOUR BIRTHDAY, and may it be the happiest ever!!! Peace, etc., Bruce
