Haunting Spirit World

About the art piece:  Locked down 1847 INSANE ASYLUM...  This is one of my two bizarre photos.  I took this photograph on our road trip this summer to Ottawa and Kingston, Ontario.  This specific one is of a random window of a lock down Mental Hospital from the mid 19-century.

I did not see nor expect anything, however when I uploaded the photo I immediately noticed a face peeking from the right side near the bottom of the window.  The dominant spirit looks unpleasant with it's haunting "laugh" you can actually count the teeth.  There are about dozen more faces in this one. I can send anyone the image for inspection, dissection and research. I get goosebumps each time I look at this picture.  I find this image so very intriguing as the rest of the spirit world and also my "IN THE BUBBLE" shot. These are the only two most bizarre photos that I have captured which I am willing to share with all my AW friends.

Choice of my colour palette: I cropped the photo and framed it in simple black to enhance the white brick.

Result: A natural photo, non-manipulated.  Simple shot of beautiful architecture captured a "Haunting Spirit World" hence the name of the piece.

I can see these poor trapped souls. In a place like this so full osuffering you'd expect to find them. Great photo Janette. This photo has pierced the veil that separates us from them!

Artist Reply: Oh Seth, how true! The multi-dimensional veil is very thin, we either see them or we don't. Thanks so much for your words.

Hi Janet,Great artistic capture of an antique looking window!!!I too noticed in some photos that I recently took was what looked like unusual looking faces too and I thought it was very intriguing! My Loving husband pointed out to me that it was the combination of the sky and the water reflections that gave the appearance of faces in the water. That made a lot of sense to me!!!:)

Artist Reply: Thank you so much, I never disregard reflecting objects and I rather that's what it was!! : )

Yes I can see two eyes ,that look like a monkey eyes.up above the errow, a big nose and mouth by your errow., kinda like a dog, with a weird mouth, You have to stare at it see it, In the circles, dont see much yet, if I keep looking at it, I might find something, I can see faces in many things I look at, even in a tree. down in the right corrner I can see a amagine of a face of a man. in the circles I see amagines of faces smudged. very interesting, I love to look at things and see what I can see, its cool!
