For a loooooong (don’t say I didn’t warn you!) explanation about the story and character behind this pic, I refer you here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/3225742/ On this site though, I just want to talk about how I made the pic. =P So without further ado, this here is Hydrya, one of my furry characters making a long overdue appearance after half a year, and with a new makeover! O.O The pic itself came out rather scrappy looking due to a misplaced filter which threw everything out of whack… >_< but hopefully it doesn’t look too bad! I tried something I’ve never done before, and that was to create a background using separate sketches and written words scanned in to the computer, so yes, that’s my writing there… trust me though, it doesn’t normally look like that. My writing is completely ILLEGIBLE!! XD *Swears on it* I wanted the sketches to look, well, sketchy and messy, but they turned out a lot neater than I thought they would so er… curses! Foiled again! =P I used pencil and my neglected brush pen for those, computer colouring for the rest of the background and colour pencil for the main poses of Hydrya. The text in the background is simply referring to the main features of Hydrya in a messy and unclear fashion (O.O;;) – ‘Violet eyes’, ‘black hood’, ‘hair with 2 shades of blue’ and ‘open skirt’. Computer drawn border, done painstakingly with a one pixel paintbrush tool in the tight spaces since my scanner hates it when I scan in a pre-drawn border… probably too confusing a pic to be a profile, but hopefully you get the impression of graffiti and weird sketchiness…? *prays* Well, the inked version is posted here anyway if you want to see the details which got swallowed up. ^^ Trades and requests are most definitely coming up after this!! *Is mortified at her lateness* X___X
