Butterfly Fractal 01

As an 'artist' I am very self critical over this Butterfly fractal. It worked much better as a concept than the resulting animation. I guess I am dissapointed with myself because I think I could have done much better. The colors are lame. The animation is kinda goofy and sloppy. There are mistakes I made that I left in out of pure laziness. The ending needed more movement and really seems to drag.

But enough self pity, I should just make a new one like this and do it right. What I liked about making it, was that it was totally different than anything else I had done. Motion and color was secondary to changing the iterations. Iteration- it's a variable in all fractals that tells the computer how much to calculate, and when to stop. By changing it, I was able to make the wings pop on or off, which was kind of unique and playful.

I still see some promise in the concept and will try it again with my full effort.
