The dancer presents herself at the Pátio de São Pedro, a place of traditional folklore in the city behind Saint Peters church in the center of Recife, a much visisted religious temple. Frevo is for the people of Recife as afoxé is for the people of Bahia. When the frevo-march from Vassourinha school sounds at carnival only the dead resist dancing. The picture measures 65cm by 45cm.
