Beautiful pup, but why taken so early from momma? They should be at least 10 weeks before being separated.. she's really young.. And I wanted to thank you for your comment on my work.

This little pup Kyra made me giggle....watchful as to what is going on--yet her body says, "you can't see me, I"m hiding!" We have Boxers and they look quite familiar when they're so little. cute! :) -Kerra

Angie Waszkiewicz 19 Dec 2006

What a cutie pie! Make sure to socialize her well! :D Victor is right..... they need LOTS of exercise! Otherwise, like any intelligent breed... they tend to get into trouble :P They are also very attached at the hip...LOL Even if everyone else is home, my little Halo gets so upset if I am gone. He would be with me 24/7 if he could.

I love the idea of the Pit Bull Terrier Rescue. These dogs are SO misunderstood. They are not meant for fighting. NO WAY! Just because they are a brave and fearless dog, it doesn't mean that us stupid jerks of human beings have to focus on this particular trait, to the exclusion of all the others and force the animal into unnecessaryu and very unpleasant fights. Pit Bulls are not only brave but they are extremely intelligent and unbelievably faithful to a caring master. They also make great family pets - being very tolerant of the misdemenors of children! The onbly down-side with a Pit Bull - and I want ALL prospective and current owners to take note of this - is that they need PLENTY of exercise. (ie Several long walks every single day of the year.)

Artist Reply: Victor, thanks so much for your wonderful comments on my puppy.....your words are very true, you hit the nail on the head....these dogs are so wonderful, and its the monkey mentality of human beings to find a way to make a profit.....Dog fighting is a huge problem in So. Ca. so I had to snatch her up before some jerk got her....and yes excersize is very importent, helps them tremendously....Kyra is going to be my best friend, my protector and the family dog....ya know she has slept in my bed every night (and cuddled with me) since I got her, she is so wonderful! Thanks again, your friend~Leah

Good photograph -- I hope you won't be offended if, if I might ask, I ask what technique you employed to get the grainy quality? Some type of filter or something during processing?

Artist Reply: To be perfectly honest the grainy quality comes from my web cam hehe....I was so excited about showing everyone my new pup that I just snapped the pick with my web cam.....I have been caught :)~ Thanks for your comment :)

Stanley Layman 05 Dec 2006

I used to own a brindle pit bull dog in my teens and I have a lot of great memories of that time. He was not a terrier. They tend to get yappy as they get older. The one I had would barely bark, but when he did everyone took notice. Nice picture!

julie Marks 05 Dec 2006

What a great friend you have. It is a gift to find a dog that snuggles. I love the poignant expression in her eyes. When a dog attacks or is too vicious like the reputation of Pit Bull's it is due to their owner's cruelty and misuse of their precious puppy. This picture says it all!! You will be a great mother and those that use animals for destructive purpose should be fined, arrested or both depending on the circumstances. You can see the innocense of this adorable little girl. Thanks for sharing the photo. I am a dog lover as you know by your comments on my two wonderful dogs. She will need extra love at 5 weeks because that is early to be separated from Mom. She is fortunate that she landed in the right place, with you in your bed!! :)

Lucia Stewart 05 Dec 2006

What a cute little fella. I love puppies.

stephen smith 05 Dec 2006

hard to believe that cute little puppy will grow up and be vicious hu. haha, actually, pit bulls make great pets contrary to popular belief.

Artist Reply: haha...ya they have a bad rap because of bad owners, its rediculous....with the right positive train (just like with any other dog) they grow into perfect family dogs :) Thanks a bunch for your comment my friend :)
