Artist Reply: Marie-Claire: thanks you so very much. This is one of the first pieces that I did on the Dura-lar polyester film. I really do think that using this instead of more conventional papers allows me to render the detail in such a realistic manner. More materials used than talent! Have a very nice weekend. I really do appreciate all those members who take the time to view my art and to comment on it. I did not mean to slight you in any way. I have looked at your work and really like your landscapes. Both in oil and the pastels. I started off using pastel pencils and then moved to colored pencils to get the high level of detail that I try to always achieve. This probably stems from the fact that prior to retirement, I was a gross anatomy professor for 31 years. Once a detail man...always a detail man! Thank you again for your comments.
