Artist Comments: "I have seen and painted the glowing sunsets that grace the coast of Washington and Oregon. When I saw this one, I knew I had to try to capture the beauty before me. It had all the magic. Drifting clouds hang in a clear sky, slanting across the scene. The counterbalance is a long headland that seems to go on and on into forever, diminishing in the atmospheric mist. I love the warm colors that are opposites on the color wheel, and that is what makes this painting 'sing'."
