Artist Comments: "I spied this Nash Metropolitan resting in deep dried grass in front of an ageing structure. It seemed abandoned to be slowly consumed by rust. As I painted it, I could almost visualize the small car in its glory days. Perhaps a single adult (maybe a young couple) proudly drove it around town and 'out-and-about.' Maybe someone will rescue it and restore its former loveliness."
