Good composition Alan. However, it looks like you used a fill-flash to light it. Direct frontal lighting on 3-D structures like this tends to have a flattening effect on the image, and waxy plants like Gravilleas throw too much light back at the camera. Try dangling a white tissue in front of the flash to diffuse the light and give it more of a wrap-around effect.
