WOW, YOUR BACK YARD? LUCKY YOU TO HAVE SUCH VISITORS!
Artist Reply: Yeah in my back yard Emily. Actually a bit of a stressful affair for this possum. A few weeks back we decided to clear out a shed and found this possum had built a nest in amongst some old clothes left there. Whilst hanging out the washing, I noticed a flock of mynahs were making a terrible noise and were swooping on one of the trees, this brought our dog molly down to join in the fray. When I saw this poor mother possum clinging to a branch in the middle of the day, she was quite distressed by all of the commotion around her. So what do i do? I go grab my camera and start letting off the flash as well...its a wonder she didn't fall out of the tree!! After the shots we locked up the dog , tried to scare off the birds, and she finally made her way, (baby intact) down the tree and into our roof!! I guess she has found a new place to hanker down for the approaching winter months :) Rob
