MAINAK GHOSH Born on 28 June 1980 to a Bengali (Indian) Christian family, he had been experimenting with various media - colour, paper, clay, stone, wood, junk materials has always been his passion since childhood. Abstract depiction of real world scenarios has been his subject of interest. Mythological characters and saga amuses him too. His education was a continuum to his creative zest, graduate in Architecture from Jadavpur University, followed by Masters in Design, IIT Kanpur. With a career of more than five years as Experience Design Consultant, he has traveled exhaustively. He also got a chance to interact closely with people from varied geography widening his outlook. People, their activities, stories and fantasy are his major source of inspiration. Along with his consulting profession, his latest pursuit is to propagate creative or art modules with a purpose, primarily focusing younger generation.

About the art Characters & their interaction with nature and others, drama is the subject in focus in this series. Mostly mixed media presentation (pen & ink, acrylic, water color) with digital intervention. However the artist has a strong affinity towards hand-drawn sketches and intricate pattern augmentation.
