About the Artist:

I am a self-taught artist, early on I found graphite drawings to be my favorite medium in high school . The thoughts of painting on canvas, drawing on paper, wood or metal , never motivated me to continue art after high school. In 2012, I had the idea of making concrete countertops for our home, started my venture with a desire to learn techniques and conventional recipes and make cement art projects. I quickly adapted and altered recipes to make my projects lighter, I continued to experiment, realizing that I could create fine art in cement, by blending imagination, color stains, cement, and other earth materials into works of art. I have not made any counter tops yet, but perhaps one day I will. For now, I will keep finding new ways of utilizing my artistic talents with cement blends, concrete stains and pigments. My biggest thank you, is to all who have supported and encouraged me. I am continuing to pursue my career in cement art and now enjoy looking forward to teaching classes more often.
