I was born in East Chicago, Indiana, a son of a baptist Preacher. I Attended Indiana Voc. and Tech, College, as well as Indiana University.

I have always been interested in art (my first memories are of laying on the floor doodling and drawing.) My whole life has been rooted in the process of creation. Working in many different mediums (oils, acrylics, acrylic inks, watercolors, colored pencils, and colored markers) I approach my subject matter, which is as varied as my media (landscape, still lifes, portraits, dreamscapes and collage) in as many styles with the intent of remaining ever fresh and open to the magic of creating art that communicates in thought and feeling and discovering the degree and depth of my ability to grow in the process.

For me images have become in many ways a more viable language than that of the verbal, tools enabling me to personalize the familiar as well as the the unfamiliar and express that universally, a type of pictographic language, an iconoclastic wandering, an ongoing quest to discover the common connection between myself and all else, to all that is, to ultimately come to balance, to make a sincere connection to the whole.
