Self Portrait

Emily Carding is a priestess, an artist, a student of shamanism, a singer, a lyricist and a full time mummy to a beautiful faery child.

She has an expressive style, and enjoys using acrylics, ink and watercolour, and anything else she can get her hands on. Her work can be seen at events across the country in the form of prints and greetings cards, and her Tarot deck, 'The Tarot of the Sidhe' has been published as a major's only collector's signed limited edition.

Whilst the complete deck awaits publication, her second 78 card deck, the highly innovative Transparent Tarot is due to be published in a deck and book set by Schiffer Books in 2008.

Her work is also due to appear in the We'Moon 2008 datebook, and Stuart Kaplan's encyclopedia of Tarot, Volume V, due out in 2008. She has recently finished working on a majors only tarot based on the culture of Montenegro, called The Tarot of the Black Mountain, which is also due to be published in both in Montenegro and the UK later in 2008.

She has worked as an artist in residence for a nursery school, has designed posters for a local Greenpeace group and a Yoga studio, as well as for The Society of Pagan Arts events at which she will be exhibiting again in August 2008. Her illustration work appears regularly in Pentacle Magazine, and has graced the front cover of the Irish publication, Imramma.

Emily is currently working on an exciting book project with author Marion Pearce, as well as the accompanying book for the Tarot of the Sidhe. She is also working on an original children's book, which she is both writing and illustrating.

She always find time to squeeze in commissions! No job is too small or large, and she is happy to combine shamanic journeying methods with her artistic gift to find images from your inner world. For purchasing prints, cards, or commisions, please email Emily : [email protected]
