Artist Bio

Yefim Rosenfeld was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and lived there until moving to Stamford, CT in 1991, where he currently resides. He began his career as an artist studying watercolor paintings with Professor Alfred Eberling who helped Yefim learn the beauty of watercolors.

Yefim Rosenfeld received his degree in fine art from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He has worked as an interior designer and an architect. Yefim was an active member of the Union of Architects of Russia. While working as an architect, Yefim devoted all of his spare time to creating landscape paintings of famous parks in the St. Petersburg suburbs, such as Pavlovsk, Pushkin and Petrodvorets which was the Tsars’ summer residence until the 1917 Revolution.

Yefim Rosenfeld was a frequent participant of numerous art exhibitions that were organized by the Union of Artists and the Union of Architects and other galleries of St. Petersburg.

Currently, Yefim is a member of the Stamford Art Association (SAA) and enjoys participating in many personal and collective art exhibitions. His watercolors are in private collections in Russia, Israel and America. Yefim creates a series of landscapes showing the subtle differences of season, lighting and weather conditions. His landscapes are full of light, air, warmth and freshness.
