Self Portrait

Exploring mass, volume, and weight; experimenting with expressions of emotion; making social statements... These are the driving forces behind assembling geometric forms in order to achieve these ends using a minimalist approach. To do the most with the least. To rationalise things to their purest form.

A computer geek by profession, Rob had taken a sudden, inexplicable interest in the arts in 2002 where he took up acrylic painting. He paints works of abstract expression and is fanatical about minimalism. Some of his art heroes are Barnett Newman, Jackson Pollock, Donald Judd, and Agnes Ivan.
