Self Portrait

In 2001, I resigned from Clear Channel Communications in Greensboro, NC and embarked on a career as an artist, fulfilling a life-long dream. Mostly self-taught, I set about practicing my drawing skills and rediscovering my dormant creativity. Inspired by Coloured Pencil artists Johanna Pieterman and Ann Kullberg, I invested in a set of Derwent Artists Coloured Pencils and have not looked back! Other favourite mediums include Watercolour, Pen & Ink, and Oils. I've recently begun creating art digitally, as well. My style ranges from realism to Art Nouveau-inspired works, with an emphasis on fantasy and faery art, florals and landscapes, and a bit of portraiture. An occasional foray into the world of sculpture has been known to occur, as well - I created a sculpture version of my "Faery Bride" artwork.

My hobbies include writing, reading, bellydance, and theatre (both attending and performing). I'm also a galleried member of Epilogue, Renderosity, Digitalart.org, and Elfwood. I've been married since July 2000 to Graham, and we reside in North Carolina with 'Mo', a Cockatiel with an attitude.

I also run Luna Grove Designs, a wedding and social stationery shoppe.

My online journal is available at livejournal.com.
