Anthony "Tony" Brown , a life long resident of Washington, D.C.

My artistic life started as a cartoonist morphed to a painter into a graphic artist and settled into becoming an Illustrative photographer. I unconsciously incorporate all these concepts of art into whatever I do. I like to work in the figurative as opposed to the abstract or surreal, I like my work to say clearly what it has told me and not make one wonder " what I was trying to say". These views include my home town, trips and events. I hope to continue to grow as an artist and hopefully develop to be someone whose art is appreciated and exciting. My photography reflects events, history and my personal environment. I enjoy being present to the moment and capturing the time or scene that gives a different feeling or fresh statement of what it is.
