NATALYA KEZERASHVILI

A little bit about me. As far as I can remember myself from my early childhood I was drawing everywhere and everything. Anything I saw would trigger my imagination and become a motive for my pictures. I could see the images of animals and people in the cracks of building walls and then draw them. The ready-made motives have been everywhere: on the cloud of the sky, between bushes and trees in the woods, between pleats of the rags or cloth. For example: I remember I was sitting on the lesson at my elementary school, suddenly I saw a spot on the wall and this spot looked to me like someone’s face. I draw it in my class notebook. Then in summer camps I did draw faces of all children in my group and even faces of the coaches. And everybody said that the pictures were amazingly similar. And so on all my life… Then, in St. Petersburg (Russia) when I was married woman already, I decided to take formal classes in painting. I attended the Art Studio where I started painting in oils. I painted still lives, landscapes, portraits. Two of my very first oil pieces which did not go into private collections I brought with me into the USA. I continuing my art works after coming to live in US in 1993. I use mostly acrylics nowadays. I do photograpgy since I was 6 years old. After arriving into US I made a lot of photos and almost all of them with SUN SHINE. I liked to paint very much, but after my mother past away last year, I stopped making art. It was so sad period of my life that I simply could not do anything anymore… Now I am back and I am alive! And I want to continue making great art in any media: acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel! Life is continuing …
