3 elephants tattoo- WIP

My brothers' girlfriend wanted a tattoo of a mother elephant and 2 small ones. This is far from finished and is only in the pencil stages. Had to take a break from the other piece I haven't finished yet.

I'm anticipating the next step/phase. I just also happen to be working with elephant figures on one of my wood pieces. Curious to see you interpretation.

I like it, it is very different, but the fact that the eliphants trunks are thin just like worms is very distracting?

RQ, That's great. Hope you post it up when you're fininshed.

Steph, yeah I noticed the same thing. I'll fix it though. Thanks for checking it out.

i like the flow but am having a hard time making out the shapes of the elephants themselves as well as how its being placed on the body. love to see this a bit more developed so i can see more of whats going on.

The long thin looking legs are great!! I like how the taper in the center and then spread out at the base/foot: it's a great visual flow! Someone already mentioned the trunk being a bit thin at the end there so won't bother with that. You really nailed the delicate feel of the ear of the bif elephant: it's flow is simply beautiful and really well done. :) Looking forward to seeing more of this finished!

good one norm. what is the origin of the funhouse mirror effect on alot of your drawings? jim

MOst of the imagery I use seems out of proportion. Mainly because that's how I see things in life. When I see a tree, I imagine it alot larger than it is. I want to break the rules in how we are trained to see things. Whatever floats your boat. True? take care
