1) PAYMENT DEADLINE TODAY

If you have been approved to be featured in the book, all payments for reservation are due today (Oct. 15th) by midnight. If payment is not received today, then we will be unable to reserve a space for you in the book. We accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or electronic check. To make payment, go to the book page above and select you layout.

2) IMAGE & APPROVAL DEADLINE EXTENDED

If you have reserved your page, we have extended the deadline for all image & page approvals one additional week. You now have until Oct. 22nd to submit your images and approve the text for your book page. We have done this, because we can start designing the pages for those artists that are approved, while we wait for the content from others. This will allow everyone more time to upload or mail the images to us. If we do not receive your images/approval by this date, your reservation money will be refunded and you will not be featured in the book.

3) LARGE IMAGE FILES

A few people have mentioned they have had problems uploading their large (30-50meg) images to our server. We have received many images this size, so it should not be a problem of file size. However, if you continue to have problems, we suggest that you compress your image file so that it's smaller. If you use LZW compression for your TIF images, you will not lose any quality and your file will be up to 90% smaller. You can also save as a JPG with a 10-12 quality setting without losing any visible quality. Images used with these settings should be under 5 meg and still turn out excellent for the book. If you have problems with the website, simply fill out the descriptions and e-mail/mail us your images.

4) CMYK CONVERSION

ArtWanted.com will be reviewing every image submitted and converting it to the appropriate CMYK color mode. There is no need to convert to CMYK if you do not know how or are not comfortable with it. For those that are interested, our book printer prefers to use Photoshop 4 CMYK for the best results. To view this color mode within Photoshop CS, go to Edit...Color Settings and select 'Emulate Photoshop 4' from the settings drop down list. Remember that what you see on screen is not what you will see in print, because you can't duplicate printed inks on screen. Most artwork/photos will look great without the need of any color adjustments.

5) IMAGE REVIEWS

Many people have e-mailed us asking to review their images and make sure that they are ok for the book. We have over 600 images to review and so it's going to take at least a week or two to review all the artwork for the book. Because of this, we can't review an individuals artwork upon request. Just know that we will be looking at all images over the next few weeks and if there is a problem, we will let you know, so that you can send us updated artwork.

6) FINAL PAGE APPROVAL EMAIL

As we work on the book over the next few months, we will send you a final e-mail once your page has been designed and is ready for print. This will give you the peace of mind that we received your text & images just fine and you are set to go for the book. Keep in mind that this e-mail may not come until the end of November, so be patient.

7) BOOK PAGE LAYOUT

As we have mentioned, we will not be able to provide a final preview of your page layout due to print deadlines and the time that would be involved in this. Just know that our designers will use their best judgment on how to layout your images. Remember that if you want 100% control over the graphical layout of your page, you can submit one 8"x8" image collage of all your artwork. Your artwork can extend right up to the edge of the image, because there is no border required. Just know that your digital canvas size should be at least 2400 x 2400 pixels to give you a 300 DPI image.

8) BOOK PRE-ORDERS
