THEME: Pet Photos (Voting)

DESCRIPTION: The topic for this photography contest is PET PHOTOS. Take a new photo or submit an existing photo of a pet you have owned. Technically you could submit a photo of an animal you have not owned, but it must be an animal that you could have as a pet (not like a Tiger, haha). Take your camera and get out and take a great photo of the fall color and submit it for this contest.

VOTING STARTS: 6-May-2024
WINNERS ANNOUNCED: 13-May-2024

These two are brother and sister. They are not very friendly so I photographed them separately and then combined them for this picture. I entitled it "He aint heavy, he's my brother" as Flower the female is quite bossy and it looked like she was thinking that.

"Sundance Bughunter Moonboots" told me he'd be my forever buddy the day I asked him, "Do you want to come home with me?" with an emphatic "MEW!" when I met him at a pet rescue fair put on by Tillamook Oregon's United Paws organization.

It was Love at first sight with my Sheriff of Shangri-La, although he did decide to acclimate to his new home in the garage rafters and wall soffits the week before Christmas. He'd been born in a wall/floor hole in a derelict home and his cat-mom had disappeared the day a work crew started razing the house. UP rescued and fostered him three years before he and I met. I succeeded in bringing him out of his rafters with a can of hoomun tuna, Oddly, he despises tuna now, except for its gravy. Wants mostly chicken and kibbles in all their permutations.
