The strange beauty of loss. I feel our hand gestures communicate a lot more than we think. It talks about our deepest regrets, mistakes, strengths and pain. I felt like I had surrendered to the constant loss in my life. I felt like giving up, but perhaps I'm more able to give in to the uncertainty of life. That in itself is a strength.

A portion of a digital series of tarot cards that I am currently working on. I am personifying the psychologist’s Carl Gustav Jung’s concept of archetypes in his theory of the human psyche. Although there are many different archetypes, Jung defined twelve primary types that symbolize basic human motivations. This piece is one of the twelve called “The Creator”, which is also known as: The artist, inventor, innovator, musician, writer or dreamer. If you can imagine it, it can be done. More of them can be seen at

Inspired by the unique way they are holding hands. Totally entwined, giving a very secure feeling, which they exchange face to face, nothing could come between them, not even their own hands......
